Ludhiana, November 2, 2023: School of Law, CT University visit to Punjab Police Academy in Phillaur. The visit was aimed at providing them with practical insights into the field of forensic science.

The Punjab Police Academy houses three vital divisions: the Forensic Science Lab, Fingerprint Bureau Cell, and Cyber Forensic Training Cell. During the visit, students had the chance to witness various activities in these divisions, gaining firsthand knowledge of forensic science operations.

The laboratories primarily focus on the examination of equipment and specimens received from investigating officers, with a special emphasis on the chain of custody. Students were shown how to verify chain of custody details and assess the preservation of viscera packages. They were also introduced to the extraction and identification of poisons, as well as various microscopic methods used in biological and serological testing of samples.

What made this visit exceptional was the informal interaction with the academy's scientists, providing invaluable real-world experiences and insights.
