Barnala, February 26, 2023: Promoting the message of healthy living and fitness, CT University along with the support of Commissionerate of Police Barnala organized Weekend of Wellness (WOW) at 60 feet road, Astha Colony, Barnala . Deepak Soni, owner Astha enclave graced the occasion as guest of honour.


On this occasion, CT University’s Directorate of Sports Dr. Pravin ; Director, Admissions Gurvinder Singh Sodhi ; Deputy Director Student Welfare Er. Davinder Singh, Dy. Director, Cultural Affairs Sarghi Kaur Barring ; Principal CT Degree Collage Hardeep Kaur,  Associate Director Admission Amandeep Tangri ; Assistant Prof. Multimedia Kunal Garg, faculty and students were present.
 

People of different age bars participated in this fitness event in which they broke into synchronized dance moves and pumping workouts. They used the streets for recreation that promoted health, well-being, fitness, togetherness, and joy.


The event started with fun-filled and healthy activities like Yoga, Fitness Challenges, Karate, Zumba, Cricket, Open DJ, Bhangra, Bollywood dance, Badminton, cycling and many more by MAAC Cricket Academy, Ashke Folk Dance Academy, Wellness gym, Karate club, Bansal Yoga Club etc.


Director Sports Dr. Pravin Kumar inspired people to stay fit and said 'Everyone should adopt the healthy lifestyle, Workout , do bhangra or cycling everyday to stay fit. Physical exercise is the best way to lose weight." He also thanked Police Commissionerate, Traffic Police , guests, sponsors and participants for making this event a grand success.
 

Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro Chancellor of CT University said that the endeavour aimed to encourage people to start walking, cycling, and doing more fitness-related activities in an entertaining way for healthy living, especially after the lockdown. The event is organized on Sunday to promote healthy lifestyle and remind the citizens to reclaim the streets as it belongs to them.
 

The other guests remained Residents of Ashtha Enclave and society, Barnala Sports Club, Ahmedgarh Peddlers, Students of Mother-Teacher School, Mother-Teacher International School, Gurpreet Holly Heart School, Paradise School, G S Public School Dhaula , Barnala Riders, Shakti Enterprises, Ahmedgarh paddlers Saint Paul School And Coca Cola became the part of CT Univesity's initiative.
