CT University students on an industrial visit to a hosiery industry.

Ludhiana, October 17, 2018: The fashion design students of CT University visited Skyway Hosiery for the practical exposure in the relevant areas of fashion technology and state-of-the-art production of hosiery goods.

Interacting with the students, the Skyway Hosiery Director P.S. Bawa delved on the modern facilities in hosiery industry and deliberated on the specifics of trendy brands of hosiery such as polka, skyway, and skyrah. He gave demonstration on the latest mechanized operations of flat bed knitting, fabrics printing, screening, computer-aided embroidery, laser cutting, etc.

Geetanjali Kapoor, Head School of Design & Innovation said that through industrial visits, students gain hands on practical knowledge on diverse industrial processes and its management concepts.

CT University Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti said industrial visits help to bridge the gap between theoretical training and practical learning in a real-life environment as classroom learning often does not suffice for holistic learning.

CT University Managing Director, Manbir Singh expressed his gratitude to Bawa for providing learning experience to students that led to enhancement of their practical knowledge about hosiery industry and business lessons. It was really a great learning for the students, he said.
