CT University's Department of Fashion Design Organizes Mayassar 2024 - The Designer's Collection
The Department of Fashion Design, School of Design and Innovation at CT University showcased their exceptional talent and creative prowess at the highly anticipated fashion event, Mayassar 2024 - The Designer's Collection. This theme-based fashion show brought together final semester students, each presenting their unique interpretation of captivating themes through four outfits. The event was a resounding success, captivating the audience with its creativity and innovation.
Ludhiana, May 17, 2024: The Department of Fashion Design, School of Design and Innovation at CT University showcased their exceptional talent and creative prowess at the highly anticipated fashion event, Mayassar 2024 - The Designer's Collection. This theme-based fashion show brought together final semester students, each presenting their unique interpretation of captivating themes through four outfits. The event was a resounding success, captivating the audience with its creativity and innovation.
The seven themes that inspired the collections at Mayassar 2024 were diverse and imaginative, including "Banjara" (Collection of the Year), "Granim" (a combination of traditional Greek outfits and denim), "Snowy Pearls" (depicting the beauty of pearls from head to toe), "Picasso" (a tribute to the famous artist), "Contemporary Architecture" (a blend of architectural elements with a contemporary twist), "Indian Mafia" (showcasing a collection filled with terror and attitude), and a surprise "Denim Collection" from first-year students. The specific themes presented by the students featured Liza with "Snowy Pearls," Khushboo with "Indian Mafia," Ritika with "Granim," Manjinder with "Contemporary Architecture," and Ganika with "Picasso."
Ganika emerged as the winner of Mayassar 2024, earning the title of Designer of the Year.
Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro Chancellor of CT University, expressed his pride and admiration for the talented fashion designers, stating, "Mayassar 2024 - The Designer's Collection showcased the exceptional creativity and passion of our students. The Department of Fashion Design at CT University extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants for their remarkable contributions. The jury members for the event were Ms. Nandini Gupta, Head of Department at Gulzar Group of Colleges, Khanna, Ludhiana, and Ms. Bharti Kapoor. The event was sponsored by Baani Beauty Bar.
On this occasion, Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Vice Chancellor of CT University; Dean Academics Dr. Simran; Davinder Singh, Director of the Department of Student Welfare, Head School of Design and Innovation Mr. Mannan Sharma along with staff and students, were present to celebrate the achievements of the budding designers.
