CT Varsity celebrates Holi with flowers at orphanage

CT University officials and students celebrated the occasion of Holi with the kids of SGB Children Home.

Ludhiana, March 20, 2019: CT University celebrated the festival of Holi with around 50 children at SGB Children's Home, a place for orphaned, abandoned and destitute children where every care is provided to bring them up in a family environment, in Dham Talwandi Khurd, Ludhiana.

On this occasion, students of School of Hotel Management, Airlines and Tourism prepared food items for the children. They also collected donation from within and outside the University for the kids in orphanage. They distributed notebooks, drawing books, colouring books, pencils, other stationery material along with daily need items such as, baby soaps, talcum powder, tooth brush and other items.

Ekamdeep Kaur Grewal, the key coordinator for this home appreciated the efforts of CT University and wished for similar celebrations in future as well as it brings smile on faces of children.

Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT University, Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman joined the event with faculty and students of the department.

They used flowers and balloons instead of water and colours. Both of them visited the baby care centre, where new born babies are kept and taken care of.

Dr. Bharat Kapoor, Director School of Hotel Management, Airlines and Tourism also appreciated the efforts of the Orphanage and felt happy to be a part of such activity. Dr. Amit, Head School of Hotel Management, Airlines and Tourism said that every human being is equal and have the right to live with dignity and respect.

Manbir Singh, Managing Director said, “It is quite saddening to see that parents for one or other reasons leave their kids. But I’m happy to see that SGB International Foundation is making a great contribution in the society by taking such initiatives.”
