Drone Pilot Kanav Kumar motivate CTU students to pursue career in drone industry

Ludhiana, April 22, 2019: CT University organised a guest lecture on ‘Pursuing career in drone industry’ in which Kanav Kumar, Director of Better Drones, based in Greater Noida interacted with the students. Better Drones is a premier training institution that develops ecosystem for the Drone industry. They undertake drone operations in the field of Data Acquisition (Including IR and Thermal), Agriculture, Mining, Survey, Monitoring, & Inspection.

Addressing the students, Kanav Kumar, said, “Drone usage is not just limited for marriages or any random functions, whereas, it is way beyond that. Drone usage is a field where youth’s need is increasing and is now a great platform for having a career in. Any passionate graduate with background from any discipline can train themselves for becoming a drone pilot. The need of hour is saving agriculture in Punjab therefore, with drone technology, a Punjab based student can analyse weed status in field, water content required, production prediction and various other things by this Drone technology.”

He motivated students to pursue their career in this industry and for this, he encouraged students to get hands-on training and get them certified as Drone Pilots. The curriculum is progressive and is designed to prepare individuals for licensing with Pre, Progressive and Final Tests and relevant Soft Skills for all Roles. The syllabus and conduct include best practices of the Indian Air.

Common man had always the perception of perceiving drone as equipment used in basic photography but it is beyond that.
