Jalandhar, April 25, 2023: CT World School celebrated Earth Day 2023 with much fervor and zeal in accordance with the theme of the day: "Invest in our planet". During the morning's assembly, the young environmentalists shared amazing facts and gave a powerful message against deforestation through a role play titled "Our Earth, Our Home".
Activities like “How to make compost at home”, “Plant more trees”, “Keep your Earth clean”, “Poster making”, “Sapling presentation”, “Watering the plants” and “ Feeding the birds” were carried out which filled the campus aura with enthusiasm and positivity. Animated videos and documentaries on "Our Mother Earth" were also shown to the tiny tots and seniors alike.
In order to thank Mother Earth for her selfless care and love toward humanity, students pledged to invest by planting a sapling and making compost at home.
Madhu Sharma, Principal of CT World School conducted a group discussion on Earth Day. She remarked that investing in a green economy is the only path to a healthy, prosperous, and equitable future. It helps students develop a continuing compassion for Mother Earth by sensitizing them to the value of trees.
CT Group of Institutions Chairman Charanjit Singh Channi wished the students 'Happy Earth Day' and appreciated them for their efforts. He also stated that we must collectively push away from the dirty fossil fuel economy and old technologies of centuries past. Instead, we must redirect our attention to creating a 21st-century economy that restores our planet's health, protects our species, and provides opportunities for all.
