Jalandhar, December 15, 2022: CT World School organized a Dental check-up and awareness camp by the “Dental Studio”. The camp was initiated with a dental awareness talk, educating students and faculty about common dental problems, and ailments, especially tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent them. The students highlighted the eating patterns and food choices which could probably cause tooth decay. The students got ample opportunities to interact with the dentists to enquire and gain knowledge concerning oral diseases. The team focused on how to keep overall oral hygiene and its benefits of it including brushing and regular flossing. The team included Dr Nikhil Sodhi, and Dr Kajal, dental surgeons.
They demonstrated how sticky foods damage the teeth and the need to carry out regular dental checkups. The professionals also highlighted the possible formation of harmful acid which develops when bacteria (plaque) get in contact with sugar in the mouth which ultimately results in tooth decay.
