CTIHM Students Attempt Limca Book Record with 152 Unique Napkin Folds
The CT Institute of Hospitality Management (CTIHM), Shahpur Campus, witnessed a moment of pride and creativity as its students attempted to set a Limca Book of Records entry by crafting 152 unique napkin folds. This ambitious effort highlighted the students’ innovation, attention to detail, and mastery of table presentation—an essential skill in the hospitality industry.

Jalandhar, April 18, 2025: The CT Institute of Hospitality Management (CTIHM), Shahpur Campus, witnessed a moment of pride and creativity as its students attempted to set a Limca Book of Records entry by crafting 152 unique napkin folds. This ambitious effort highlighted the students’ innovation, attention to detail, and mastery of table presentation—an essential skill in the hospitality industry.
The event was the culmination of nearly three months of rigorous planning and hands-on training. Hotel Management students delved into diverse napkin folding techniques and themes, ensuring that each design was distinct and aligned with various hospitality service concepts. The initiative was a strong reflection of CTIHM’s commitment to experiential learning, where students are encouraged to learn through real-world application.
Seventy-six students participated in the record attempt, completing all 152 napkin folds in an impressive time of just 3 minutes and 4 seconds. The level of coordination, discipline, and teamwork on display was exceptional, underlining the soft skills that are equally important in the professional world—like time management, collaboration, and problem-solving.
The event was graced by several dignitaries from the education and hospitality sectors, whose presence added great encouragement for the students. Their support and enthusiasm contributed to the energetic atmosphere and inspired the participants throughout the attempt.
Dr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director of CT Group of Institutions, expressed his admiration for the students and faculty involved in the initiative. He appreciated the discipline, creativity, and excellence exhibited during the event and applauded CTIHM for nurturing talent and encouraging students to think beyond the ordinary.
