CTU conducts art workshop on Spin with Art and Colour

Ludhiana, November 2, 2018: CT University’s School of Design and Innovation organised an art workshop ‘Spin with Art and Colour’ in which students from various schools including those of CTU participated overwhelmingly. Students experienced thorough magical effects of watercolours as demonstrated by renowned Chandigarh based artist Sikander of International repute.

The students from various renowned schools such as Guru Nanak Public School, Jagraon; DAV Public School, Ludhiana; BBSB Convent School, Jagraon; SVJP School, Jagraon participated in an enthusiastic manner and even painted with the guest during the workshop.

Welcoming the guest, CT University Vice Chancellor Dr Harsh Sadawarti said that art is flamed by imagination and improves the power of concentration. He added that nurturing art of various forms improves ability of expression of students.

Elaborating about the workshop, Geetanjali Kapoor, Head of School of Design and Innovation said that the event was to focus on imparting artistic knowledge and creative skills to students and to demonstrate latest techniques of integrative use of watercolours.

The award winning artist Sikander said, “Art is a window towards the world and I wish that young generation feels everything from heart and then make attempts to portray it to canvas. Today’s workshop was interesting because students took part very actively and their ideas were quite fascinating.” He further cleared doubts and queries of students in a practical way.

CTU Managing Director, Manbir Singh appreciated the efforts of the organizers for facilitating individual interaction with the renowned artist that provided a unique learning experience to hone up their creativity.
