Central University of Punjab commenced Process for Admissions in 44 Post Graduate and 31 Ph.D. Degree Programmes for AY 2021-22
University invites applications for admissions of 1334 seats in 44 PG Programmes & 151 seats in 31 Ph.D. Degree Programmes in Academic Year 2021-22
Bathinda, August 19, 2021: The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB), NAAC Accredited “A” Grade University and the University with 87th Position in NIRF India 2020 Rankings, commenced its Admissions Process for 44 Masters Degree Programme and 31 Ph.D. Degree Programmes for Academic Session 2021-22. The University offers 1334 seats in 44 PG Programmes this time, for which the online registrations and submission of Application Form can be done through Central Universities - Common Entrance Test (CU-CET) 2021. In addition to this, total 151 seats have been offered by university for 31 Ph.D. Programmes and application for admissions in Ph.D .programmes can be submitted online directly to University on CUPB official website.
Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the Vice Chancellor of CUPB, stated that the university is providing holistic & quality education in wide range of disciplines to students studying here from more than 25 states of India and other foreign countries, and is working as a leading research centric university of the region with high tech research facilities along with inter-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary study options in lush green 500-acre campus. He added, our mission is to develop global intellectual citizens through skill development & value based holistic education and with the implementation of transformative educational reforms introduced under NEP-2020. He advised the students to check the details of eligibility criteria and number of seats offered by CUPB in various Masters & Ph.D. Degree Programmes available on university website before applying.

In addition to the above, the university has got approval to introduce a new PG Programme named as ‘Masters in Politics and International Relations’ from Academic Year 2021-22.
As per Admissions Branch of CUPB, candidates can apply for admissions in PG Programme from CU-CET 2021 website https://cucet.nta.nic.in and for Ph.D. Programmes directly from University’s official website www.cup.edu.in. The university will conduct a special Entrance Test for For Ph.D. Admissions. The applicants who have qualified NET-JRF, UGC/ CSIR/ ARSB-NET, ICMR-JRF, GATE, GPAT, DBT-BET, & JEST (Physics) will get an exemption from the Ph.D. Entrance Test test and will directly appear in the Interview. The last date for registration and submission of application for both PG & Ph.D. Programmes is September 1, 2021.
