CU Punjab Students Showcase Talent During Competitive Events at 16th Foundation Week Celebrations
The students of the Central University of Punjab actively participated in a series of competitive events organized as part of the university’s 16th Foundation Week Celebrations. These events included debate and declamation competitions, a Documentary Making Contest, and Rangoli and Best Out of Waste competitions. Organized under the patronage of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the competitions aimed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and cultural expression among students.

Bathinda, February 25, 2025: The students of the Central University of Punjab actively participated in a series of competitive events organized as part of the university’s 16th Foundation Week Celebrations. These events included debate and declamation competitions, a Documentary Making Contest, and Rangoli and Best Out of Waste competitions. Organized under the patronage of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the competitions aimed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and cultural expression among students.
On February 24, the university hosted debate and declamation competitions, providing a platform for students to express their views on contemporary issues. The debate on "Privatization in Higher Education" featured 18 participants engaging in a dynamic exchange of ideas, while the declamation on "Indian Knowledge System for Viksit Bharat" saw 11 speakers emphasizing India's intellectual heritage in nation-building. The same day, a Documentary Making Contest was held, where participants showcased their filmmaking skills by creating documentaries highlighting the university’s remarkable journey through its 15 glorious years.
Continuing the spirit of artistic and environmental consciousness, Rangoli and Best Out of Waste competitions were organized on February 25, 2025, under the theme "Viksit Bharat @2047." Around 16 students displayed their artistic prowess in the Rangoli Contest, while 17 teams showcased their creativity and innovation by transforming waste into useful items, aligning their creations with the vision of a developed India by 2047.
As part of the grand celebrations, students will present cultural performances on February 27, 2025, under the theme "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat," promoting the spirit of unity in diversity.
