CU Punjab to Host District Level Round of Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is organizing the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025 to actively engage young minds in the democratic process. As part of this initiative, the Central University of Punjab (CU Punjab), Bathinda, has been selected as the venue for the District Nodal Round, covering Bathinda and Mansa districts.

Bathinda, March 15, 2025: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is organizing the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025 to actively engage young minds in the democratic process. As part of this initiative, the Central University of Punjab (CU Punjab), Bathinda, has been selected as the venue for the District Nodal Round, covering Bathinda and Mansa districts.
The competition is open to youth aged 18 to 25 years, who must register through the My Bharat Portal by March 16, 2025 (11:59 PM) and submit a one-minute video on the topic "What does Viksit Bharat mean to you?".
The event will progress through district, state, and national levels, covering key topics such as electoral reforms, 75 years of the Indian Constitution, the 11 Sankalp of Samvidhan Diwas, constitutional values, and governance. This initiative aims to encourage youth participation in public discourse, foster leadership, enhance decision-making skills, and promote respect for diverse opinions.
The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament serves as a platform for young voices to contribute to national discussions and shape the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision. It promotes leadership, civic engagement, and policy awareness, allowing students to deliberate on crucial national issues.
Inspired by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision, this edition is being conducted entirely offline and implemented through MY Bharat to maximize youth participation..
Shortlisted candidates whose videos are selected on the My Bharat Portal will have the opportunity to present their views on ‘One Nation, One Election: Paving the Way for Viksit Bharat’ during the District Level Round organized by the NSS Cell, CU Punjab.
