Chandigarh, July 7, 2023: The Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized the successful culmination of 5 week summer internship cum hands on training program “Microbiological Techniques” with a valedictory function held today.
The training program was conducted from 6th June to 7th July, which was attended by the students not only from Chandigarh but other states including Orissa, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. Throughout the program the participants were immersed in a comprehensive curriculum designed to enhance their knowledge, skills, and practical understanding.
The program started with Panjab University anthem followed by a welcome address by Dr. Deepak K. Rahi, Chairman, Department of Microbiology, who welcomed the chief guest Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar, Panjab University and gave a brief overview of the training program.
The trainees shared their experiences and were also awarded certificates for the successful completion of their training.
Prof. Prince Sharma, former dean sciences and the senior most professor of the department addressed the trainees, encouraged and motivated them for their future endeavours.
Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar, Panjab University in his address to the trainees shared his valuable insight and motivated the students for their future academic and professional ambitions.
The program ended with a vote of thanks which was delivered by Khemraj, Assistant professor, Department of Microbiology.
