Cultural Exchange Committee of PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar organizes Orientation Program.
Jalandhar, May 2, 2023: Under the scheme of 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat' launched by the Centre Government to promote engagement amongst the people of different states, Punjab is paired with Andhra Pradesh. Under this PCM S.D. College for Women Jalandhar signed an MOU with Government Model Degree College, Pathapatnam, Andhra Pradesh and organised an Orientation Program on cultural exchange. Cultural Exchange Program brings students from different colleges together to meet and interact and share their ideas and cultures. Time and technology have narrowed down distances in terms of connect and communication. It is important to establish Cultural Exchanges between people of different regions, as a means to further human bonding and a common approach to nation-building. With this, PCM S.D College for Women feels immense pleasure to announce activity of cultural exchange program with the paired College. We were extremely happy to get good participation from both the campuses.
The program started with the brief introduction of the program by Dr. Sandeep Kaur, incharge of the Cultural Exchange Committee. The guests of the program were K. Surya Chandra Rao, Principal, Govt. Degree College, Andhra Pradesh and G. Srinivasarao, Co-ordinator of the program from their college. They spoke about culture and education system of Andhra Pradesh. Parineeta of B.Sc (Computer science) Semester VI familiarized the participant's about the culture of Punjab and Sachi Sharma of B.com Semestee IV spoke on culture of Andhra Pradesh. At the last, Dr. Indu Tyagi incharge of Cultural Exchange Committee extended vote of thanks to the guests and participants. There were around 50 Students from both the institutions.
President Naresh Kumar Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the Managing Committee and the Principal Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar loaded the efforts of the Cultural Exchange Committee for successfully organizing this orientation program.
