Cultural fiesta colors’ 20 concludes at CT Group of Institutions
27 schools participated with more than 1300 students
Jalandhar: More than 1300 students from 27 schools across region participated on the second and concluding day of cultural festival COLORS 2020 at CT Group of Institutions, Maqsudan. The second day of the event was inter-school competition in which students took part in 17 competitive events like Group Dance, Rangoli, Poster Making, Quiz, Solo Singing, Mehndi, Turban tying and many more.
Apart from its own students, the campus was home to more than 1300 students from various schools namely Government Senior Secondary School, Alampur Baka, Lala Jagat Narayan DAV Public School, Jalandhar, St. Thomas School, LR Doaba School, Shri Parvati Jain, Swami Sant Das School, Dayanand Model School Kartarpur etc.
Participants from various schools won different prizes like Lala Jagat Narayan DAV Public School bagged first prize in face painting and Swami Sant Das Public School stood second. Swami Sant Das Public School bagged first prize in salad making whereas CT Public School stood second. St. Thomas School, Suranussi stood first in Project Display and DSSD Girls Senior Secondary School bagged second position. Little Flower Model Senior Secondary School stood first in Mehndi and Swami Sant Das Public School bagged second position.
Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, Campus Director said, “Like every year, we have received a wonderful response from various schools on the concluding day of the event. Students participated with full competitive spirit in various activities and have won the honors. COLORS aim at inspiring the youth to elevate aspirations, stay focused and achieve greater heights. The objective is to bring out the dynamism of the youth of today by providing them platform to perform. On the first day also, we have received wonderful participation from the colleges across Punjab.”
