CUWR Rankings: Panjab University placed in top 4.1% worldwide

Chandigarh, August 20, 2019: In a recently released world ranking for 2019-20 by “Center for World Ranking University (CUWR)”, Panjab University (PU) has been placed in the top 4.1% worldwide, which is an outstanding achievement for PU.

The objective indicators used for the ranking are quality of education, alumni employment, quality of faculty, and research performance with no reliance on surveys and university data submissions.

This Year PU ranks at # 12 nationally improving one place up from the last year rank at # 13. Its “quality of Education” rank has been put at # 433 which also has improved a lot form the last year rank that was # 620. The Alumni employment Rank is 587 and this has slipped down from 566 of last year. The research performance rank is at 779 with an overall score of 71.6.

The world rank of PU is 803 that has also improved four positions up from last year rank of 807. The top three positions are grabbed by Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
