Cycling for Fitness and Environment Seminar held at Doaba College
Doaba College organized seminar entitled Cycling for Fitness and Environment under the aegis of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, DCJ Bikers Club and Hawk Riders Club .
Jalandhar, November 29, 2022: Doaba College organized seminar entitled Cycling for Fitness and Environment under the aegis of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, DCJ Bikers Club and Hawk Riders Club. Baljit Mahajan alumnus and renowned cyclist graced the occasion as Key speaker, Dr Jaspal Singh Matharu and Rohit Sharma as guests of honour. The dignitaries were accorded hearty welcome by Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari, faculty and students.
Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari highlighted the enthusiastic and adventurous achievements of Sh. Baljit Mahajan on the completion of his 2 lakh kilometres bicycling at the age of 76 years. Sh. Baljit Mahajan said that he had devoted his whole life to cycling and had achieved the rare landmark of completing 2 lakh km in his bicycle. He said that he is mere number and we can achieve anything at any stage of life with single minded devotion
Dr. Jaspal Singh Matharu, Rohit Sharma from the Hawk Riders Club also explained events conducted by the Hawk Riders and DCJ Bikers Club.
Dr. Ominder Johal appreciated the students and said that inculcating the habit of cycling brings fitness as well as encourages others towards environmental protection.
Prof. Sukhvinder Singh, highlighted the events organised by the DCJ Bikers Club. Prof. Arshdeep Singh, Prof. Rahul Bharadwaj, Dr. Rakesh Kumar and Gaganpreet were also present on the occasion.
