CYSS announces Prince Chaudhary as presidential candidate for PU elections
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP's) student body CYSS (Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti), on Wednesday, announced its presidential candidate for student council elections of Punjab University (PU). Prince Chaudhary will be the CYSS's candidate and the party has decided to only field a candidate for the presidential position.
Chandigarh, August 28, 2024: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP's) student body CYSS (Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti), on Wednesday, announced its presidential candidate for student council elections of Punjab University (PU). Prince Chaudhary will be the CYSS's candidate and the party has decided to only field a candidate for the presidential position.
Informing about the same in a press conference at the party office in Chandigarh, AAP youth leader and Punjab youth development board president Parminder Singh Goldy highlighted that in 2022, the AAP contested in PU student elections for the first time and won. He said that during its last tenure the AAP student body worked diligently for the welfare of the students and the university. He said that we got two new hostels approved and the Punjab government has even issued its grant for their construction. He said that no other party has done anything even close to this for the students.
Addressing the media, CYSS in-charge Manjinder Lalpura announced the name of Prince Chaudhary as CYSS's presidential candidate and said that he is a well-known and well-liked student of Punjab University. Lalpura expressed confidence that the party would secure a significant victory in the upcoming election.
CYSS candidate Prince Chaudhary stated that their main agenda is student welfare and announced that they would soon release their complete manifesto to ensure that students are informed about the issues at the university and the solutions their party plans to implement.
On this occasion AAP youth and student leaders including Johnny, Manjot Padda, Inderjit Maan, Sukhi, Mankirat, Tarun, Veerjot, Tumbi, Divyansh Thakur, Mehak Gill, Nijjar, Gurjot and Jashan Kamboj were also present.
