Dalai Lama left for two days trip to Ladakh
The Dalai Lama left today Dharamsala for his first trip since outbreak of pandemic in 2020, to Ladakh via Jammu.
Dharamsala, July 14, 2022: The Dalai Lama left today Dharamsala for his first trip since outbreak of pandemic in 2020, to Ladakh via Jammu.
Since the emergence of the global pandemic he has only granted virtual and in-person audiences in Dharamsala until now.
Tibetans and devotees in Dharmasala lined up in queues at the break of the dawn to catch a glimpse of the Dalai Lama and see off his departure for Ladakh this morning.
The Tibetan leader will stay at Jammu for a night before proceeding to Ladhak.h
In April, the Dalai Lama granted an audience to Thiksay Rinpoche of Thiksay Monastery and former MP Thupten Tsewang, Current President of Ladakh Buddhist Association upon whose request, His Holiness agreed to visit Ladakh.
