Dalai Lama returns to Dharamshala after six-week stay in Karnataka
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama arrived in Dharamshala this morning after a nearly six-week stay in Bylakuppe, followed by a brief visit to Hunsur.

Dharamshala, February 21, 2025: His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama arrived in Dharamshala this morning after a nearly six-week stay in Bylakuppe, followed by a brief visit to Hunsur.
At Gaggal Airport, he was warmly received by Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, officiating Sikyong Tharlam Dolma Changra (Kalon of the Department of Education), Dharamshala Tibetan Settlement Officer Kunchok Migmar, and representatives from various Tibetan NGOs.
Hundreds of Tibetans lined the motorcade route at designated viewing points, eager to catch a glimpse of their revered leader as his vehicle passed by.
Upon his arrival at Tsuglagkhang, the Dalai Lama’s official residence in Mcleodganj in upper Dharamsala , members of the Tibetan leadership, including the Deputy Speaker, Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile representatives, and Central Tibetan Administration secretaries, stood in welcome, reflecting the deep reverence and admiration for His Holiness among the Tibetan community.
