Jalandhar, March 1, 2015: The MBA Department of DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jalandhar organised an HR Summit on Saturday. This HR Summit has been conducted to align more as per the industry requirements and to cut down the gap between industry and academia. Along with, the objective of the meet was to ponder on the issues concerning the areas like skill development, gap analysis and employability of management graduates. Hardeep Singh Gill, Director (HR and Corporate affairs), Aaron Automation Pvt. Ltd., Noida, Rakesh Kumar, Director (Corporate affairs, Asia Pacific), Pingkasho Technologies, Mohali,  Sameer Bhola, Senior Manager, DHLF Pramerica, Ramandeep Kaur, Assistant Manager (HR), Capital Area  Local Bank, Anshual Haq, Excel Technology and Security Solutions, Sudhir Gera, Director (Operations), IEC Kirloskar Gensets Ltd., Piyali Ghosh, Vice President (HR), Ganga Acrowools Ltd, Ludhiana, Siddarath Sharma, National Manager- Rural and Co-operative Bank, Liberty Videocon General Insurance Co. Ltd., New Delhi and K.C. Sharma, Vice-President (R& D), G.B. Tools and Forgings Ltd., Jalandhar were the speakers on the day. 
Dr. Sonia Chawla, Head, Department of Business Administration welcomed the experts on arriving in HR Summit. She shared information about the Institute and the MBA department with them. She stated that this HR Summit has been conducted for better prospects of the students. She paid her sincere gratitude to the experts to come and make the HR Summit a grand success. 
Dr. A.L. Sangal, Principal, DAVIET gave affectionate welcome to all invitees on their benign visit to the Institute. He stated that this two way communication of industry and academia is very essential. He thanked all the speakers for sparing their time from busy schedule to give new direction to our budding managers. 
Experts shared their thoughts on the expectation from industry to make the students better prospective employees. The light on aligning the teaching pedagogy and curriculum as per industry requirements was also thrown as finally students have to be absorbed by the industry. An interactive session with students was also organised. Students got benefit of their vast experience.
