DAVIET students lift overall trophy at 37th All India Folk Arts Competition held at Kartarpur
DAVIET (DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology) students won the Overall Trophy at the 37th All India Folk Arts Competition held at Kartarpur. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from various colleges across the country. The event included competitions in Bhangra, Mimicry, Marriage Song, Folk Song, Histrionics, Bhangra, and Giddha.
Jalandhar, March 24, 2023: DAVIET (DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology) students won the Overall Trophy at the 37th All India Folk Arts Competition held at Kartarpur. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from various colleges across the country. The event included competitions in Bhangra, Mimicry, Marriage Song, Folk Song, Histrionics, Bhangra, and Giddha.
Navneet, student of B.Tech CSE secured the first position in the Folk Song category, while Aarham Jain of B.Tech CSE bagged the first position in Mimicry. Gaurav of ECE clinched the second position in Histrionics. DAVIET's team won the first position in Marriage Song, Bhangra, and Giddha.
Dr Sanjeev Naval, the Principal of DAVIET, expressed his happiness and pride at the grand victory of the college's students at the 37th All India Folk Arts Competition held at Kartarpur. He congratulated the students and motivated them to give their best in all their endeavours. Dr Naval acknowledged the efforts put in by the Cultural Officer, Jasdeep Kaur, in training the students and preparing them for the competition. Dr Naval also highlighted the importance of participating in such contests, as they provide a platform for students to showcase their talents and skills. She stated that such competitions help in students' overall development and allow them to learn from their peers and experts in the field.
