Day-10 of FDP at GNDU College

Jalandhar, December 27, 2014: Interlinkage of faculty with the industry contributed a lot to the learning of members of the Faculty Development Programme (FDP) at GNDU College, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar. The tenth day today included an industrial visit to Rabro Industries (Leather Complex, Jalandhar), where the manufacturing process of converting rubeer into various finished products like various types of balls, belts, gloves etc. took place. Rabro Industries is proceeding under the guidance of Tilak Khinder and is one of the leading Indian industries for sports goods, who not only produce for the local market but also export their products to different countries, like Australia, UK, USA etc. The staff of Rabro was very helpful to the faculty to clarify their queries regarding the overall process and also acknowledge them for their presence. The next half of the session was headed by Dr.Naveen Chitkara (Renowned Neuro-Surgeon), who represented facts on the ‘Aspects of Road Safety’. He highlighted the importance of various safety measures through the use of visual media. His aim was to stimulate the needs of road safety and also to encourage the members to follow the safety rules. Vishal Sharma (Jalandhar Management Association) elaborated on ‘Industrial Interaction with Academics’. He said that education should be directly related to so as to yield better development in entrepreneurship. Dr. Ashish Arora (coordinator FDP placed a heartfelt thanks to the worthy guests and also to the members for their participation.
