Ludhiana, March 23, 2014: Day two, of the Music and Theatre Workshop, under the patronage of Dr Abraham G Thomas, saw Shrek: the Musical unfold on the stage of Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan once more. This visual extravaganza left in its wake
a spell bound audience marvelling st the authenticity of the costumes.
They brought to life all the fairytale characters as they regaled us and left us in splits. Recreating a magical land is not an easy feat, and it can be safely said that the props were truly astounding. From a huge dragon to a muddy swamp the two months of hard work week be remembered for a lifetime by the audience that witnessed it. The story progressed seamlessly thanks to the efforts of the backstage crew who neither seen nor heard. Add to this the well coordinates lights and sounds, and ladies and gentlemen Guru Nanak Bhawan was no longer in Punjab, but in a land far, far way where all the rules are changed and life is but, an adventure.
