Ludhiana, February 15, 2013: Police are still investigation into a case of daylight robbery in city, in which three youths had allegedly robbed an egg trader of Rs 2 lakh at the Model Gram railway station here on Thursday.
Enquiries conducted by City Air News reveal that one of the three robbers had even opened fire at the egg trader before escaping from the scene of crime.
However, the egg trader had luckily escaped unhurt from the firing.
The egg trader Ashok Kundra told that the incident had happened on Thursday afternoon when he had been standing near the Model Gram railway station to make payments for the delivery of eggs.
The accused came to him, robbed his cash and managed to escape within a few seconds.
The accused had used a motorcycle to flee.
Police Division No. 5, have started the investigations.
Such a daylight robbery put a question mark on the functioning of the police.
Also, it speaks as to how much dare are becoming the accused.
