DBN Brigade Cycle Expedition concludes successfully
A cycle expedition team of 12 Bihar Battalion, organized by the DBN Brigade, today culminated its 541 Kilometer journey from Madhopur Headworks to Jalandhar Cantonment. The team comprised of one Officer, one JCO and 10 other ranks. The team embarked on this expedition on 15 Nov with the dual purpose of promoting physical and mental health through cycling and raising environmental consciousness among children and youth.
Jalandhar, November 23, 2023: A cycle expedition team of 12 Bihar Battalion, organized by the DBN Brigade, today culminated its 541 Kilometer journey from Madhopur Headworks to Jalandhar Cantonment. The team comprised of one Officer, one JCO and 10 other ranks. The team embarked on this expedition on 15 Nov with the dual purpose of promoting physical and mental health through cycling and raising environmental consciousness among children and youth.
Throughout their expedition, the team interacted with Ex Serviceman, Students & locals spreading the message of environmental protection and encouraging sustainable practices. Their dedication and commitment to this cause have inspired many particularly among the younger generation.
On the team's arrival at Jalandhar Cantonment, Major General Mukesh Sharma, GOC Panther Division, lauded their efforts and expressed his heartfelt appreciation for their unwavering commitment to promoting fitness and environmental awareness. He remarked, "This expedition is a testament to the Army's unwavering commitment to fostering a healthier and more environmentally conscious society."
Brigadier Pranaya Dangwal, Commander, DBN Brigade and Colonel Vipin, Commanding Officer, 12 BIHAR also joined in congratulating the team for their successful completion of the expedition. They commended the team's resilience and determination, highlighting the positive impact of their efforts upon local populace. The expedition was led by Captain P Sampat, whose leadership and guidance was instrumental in ensuring the team's success.
