DC celebrates Lohri in Red Cross Bal Bhawan

Ludhiana, January 13, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal on Monday celebrated the festival of Lohri with the children and senior citizens at the Red Cross Bal Bhawan and Senior Citizens Home, in Sarabha Nagar.
Jorwal, who spent around an hour there with the children and Senior citizens, distributed sweets, peanuts to them and enquired about their well-being. He also joined them in lightening the bonfire to mark the auspicious occasion of Lohri. He also congratulated them on this solemn occasion.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner stated that Lohri is the traditional festival of the state which is celebrated in every nook and corner of Punjab. He mentioned that as the festival holds immense significance, he decided to personally visit here to share the joy of the festival with them.
DC Jorwal also assured fulsome support and cooperation to the Red Cross Society for the smooth functioning of the Bal Bhawan, Senior Citizens Home, which have been serving mankind in earnest.
