Ludhiana, March 28: Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Wednesday held a meeting with the officials of revenue department to review progress on various priority agendas. 
During this meeting, he evaluated the department's performance and discussed several key items, including the digitization of Jammabandies, the digitization and geo-referencing of cadastral maps, the SVAMITVA program (Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas), mutations, demarcation, encroachment on Panchayat land, NOCs, recoveries, court cases, and more.
Jain emphasized the importance of resolving all pending Jammabandies /mutations promptly; stating that any delays would not be tolerated. He instructed the officials to ensure the timely resolution of revenue cases pending in court and to provide daily reports to his office. He highlighted the need to prioritize the collection of recoveries to enhance the state government's revenue and urged the Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) to personally oversee recovery cases to expedite the process. 
Jain mentioned that he would monitor pending cases daily to establish a comprehensive mechanism for the timely registration of mutations. Additionally, he told the officers to submit details regarding any requirements they have to ensure the smooth functioning of the department, including staff, computers, accessories, and other resources.
The Deputy Commissioner further asked the officials to perform their duties sincerely, reiterating that the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has provided clear directions to facilitate residents in their daily administrative tasks.
