DC convenes with rice millers, assures swift resolution of problems

Jagraon (Ludhiana) October 21, 2024: Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal and Ludhiana Rural SSP Navneet Singh Bains convened with rice millers in Jagraon, promising comprehensive assistance in addressing their concerns promptly.

Leading the discussion in the rural SSP Ludhiana Rural office today, Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal emphasized that the Ludhiana district administration is fully cognizant of the issues faced by the millers and has been in dialogue with senior officials to resolve these challenges, ensuring smooth operations. He further announced that he is personally liaising with the Food Corporation of India to facilitate the transportation of surplus food grains, thereby creating adequate storage space.

Jorwal also highlighted that the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has agreed to most of the millers' requests. He assured the millers that all outstanding issues and demands would be addressed swiftly.

Representatives from the Rice Millers Association, including ADC Kulpreet Singh, SDM Simrandeep Singh, SP Parminder Singh Heer, and other officials from various departments, were also in attendance.
