DC deputes ADCs to expedite Girdawari work
No official will avail leave till completion of crop damage reports- Surabhi Malik
Ludhiana, April 8, 2013: In order to further accelerate the crop damage assessment expeditiously, Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik on Saturday deputed six teams headed by Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) to finish the Girdawari work within given time in the district.
Reviewing the progress of the work, Deputy Commissioner said that Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Rahul Chaba along with SDM Gurbir Singh Kohli, District Revenue Officer Gurjinder Singh and Tehsildar Manmohan Kaushik is overseeing Girdawari process in Jagraon sub-division. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Khanna) Amarjeet Bains along with RTA Poonampreet Kaur, SDM Gurbir Singh Kohli and Tehsildar Malook Singh is ensuring smooth completion of crop damage assessment in Sidhwan Bet area.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Amit Kumar Panchal along with SDM Kuldeep Bawa, Tehsildars Maninder Singh and Navjot Tiwari are supervising the work in Samrala and Machhiwara.
Further, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Anita Darshi along with SDM Swati Tiwana, Tehsildar Lakshay Kumar and Naib Tehsildar Raman Kumar have responsibility of Ludhiana West and Mullanpur-Dakha areas to prepare crop damage report.
ADC (Jagraon) Major Amit Sareen along with SDMs Jasleen Kaur, Manjeet Kaur, Gurbir Singh Kohli along with Tehsildar Gurpreet Singh, Naib Tehsildars Navjot Tiwari, Navdeep Bhogal and Gurpreet Kaur are covering the areas of Payal, Khanna and Raikot.
SDM Gursimran Singh Dhillon along with Assistant Commissioner Upinderjeet Kaur, Tehsildar Karandeep Singh Bhullar, Naib Tehsildars Jagdeep Singh, Harminder Cheema and Manveer Kaur are compiling the report of villages falling under Ludhiana East sub-division.
Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik asked that ADCs and SDMs to personally visit the villages in their respective areas to ensure speedy and fair completion of the reports. She said that till completion of whole process, no official will take leave. She said that Punjab government was committed to compensate the farmers for the loss of crops due to unseasonal rains in the past days. She instructed officials to finish the crop damage assessment so that timely disbursement of compensation.
