DC directs officials to achieve daily target of e-cards generation under AB-SSBY
Exhorts people to take benefit of cashless health insurance scheme
Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Friday directed the officials of the various departments to ensure achievement of the daily targets of e-card generation under Ayushman Bharat- Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna (AB-SSBY).
Presiding over a meeting in Bachat Bhawan, Varinder Kumar Sharma accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Sandeep Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Khanna) Sakatar Singh Bal, said that the district administration is running an extensive enrollment drive through camps, Sewa Kendras under the ambitious program of the state government so that all beneficiaries can be enrolled.
He said that apart from the camps, the Sewa Kendras would also remain open on March 6 and 7 where people can make their e-cards.
He told that the administration has prepared a comprehensive strategy by involving elected representatives and all stakeholders for increasing enrollment.
He urged the people to take benefit of the cashless health program by enrolling themselves under the flagship scheme of the government that provides a cover of up to Rs 5 lakhs to the beneficiaries.
He stated that smart ration card holders, construction workers, SECC beneficiaries, small traders, yellow/accredited journalists, and J-farm holder farmers are eligible under the scheme and they must enrol themselves and further anyone can check eligibility and list of empanelled hospitals from sha.punjab.gov.in
