DC directs officials to expedite pending works of upcoming School of Eminence (SOE) at Kidwai Nagar & Miller Ganj

Ludhiana, January 4, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal today inspected the ongoing works in Kidwai Nagar's and Miller Ganj’s upcoming School of Eminence (SOE).
Accompanied by ADC (General) Rohit Gupta, IAS (Under Training) Kritika Goyal and senior officials from various departments, Jorwal issued directions to finalise the proposal of revised estimates regarding new works at the earliest. He stated that both the SOE will be equipped with smart classrooms, modern infrastructure, labs, CCTV surveillance, and playgrounds with facilities for various sports.
The Kidwai Nagar SOE is being constructed by Ludhiana Improvement Trust while the Miller Ganj SOE by PWD.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the mission of the School of Eminence program aims to bring a revolution in the education sector for the holistic development and a bright future for the students. He emphasized that the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government is prioritizing the quality services in the education sector. He added that the SOE is an ambitious program initiated by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, and urged officials to make sincere efforts to complete the pending works expeditiously.
He instructed officials from various departments to expedite the completion of the works as soon as possible. He also took detailed review of on-going works and provided necessary directions to officials during the meeting at his office today.
