Ludhiana, August 7, 2024: Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney on Wednesday directed the officials of the revenue department to expedite the clearance of pending mutations in the district.

During a meeting to evaluate the department's monthly performance, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the pending mutations must be resolved promptly and any delays will not be tolerated. She also reviewed the process of updating revenue records, the Mera Ghar Mera Naam scheme, recovery from defaulters, court cases, inquiries, demarcations, Khangi Taqseem (family partition), and other related matters. Additionally, she instructed the officials to ensure timely resolution of revenue cases pending in their courts and to provide daily reports to her office. 

Sawhney emphasized that the officers must prioritize the collection of all recoveries to enhance the state government's revenue. She stated that willful defaulters should not be spared and strict action should be taken against them. The Deputy Commissioner also urged the SDMs to personally oversee the cases related to recovery to expedite the process. She mentioned that she will personally monitor the pending cases daily to establish a comprehensive mechanism to ensure timely registration of mutations.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the officials to perform their duties sincerely and added that the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has given clear directions to facilitate people in their daily routine administrative work in tehsils with ease.
