DC exhorts public to make maximum use of public grievance redressal system
Once the grievance is resolved, the applicant will receive an automated feedback call
Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ludhiana Varinder Kumar Sharma on Thursday exhorted the public to make maximum use of the digital Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) launched by the Punjab Government.
Deputy Commissioner, who was chairing the meeting with various departments at Bachat Bhawan here divulging the details said that PGRS is a one-stop web portal launched by the Punjab Government to address complaints of the citizens in a time-bound manner. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jagraon Neeru Katyal Gupta, Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Sandeep Singh Garha, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Baljinder Singh Dhillon among other senior officers and employees of various departments were present in the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner informed that with PGRS operational now, citizens can now submit their grievances to the concerned government departments for resolution by logging in at connect.punjab.gov.in.
He said that the single technology interface PGRS developed by the Department of Governance Reforms and Public Grievances will bring in accountability and transparency into the system.
He said that once the grievance is resolved, the applicant will receive an automated feedback call, in case the applicant is unsatisfied with the resolution provided, the issue will be further escalated to higher authorities.
