DC felicitates 67 toppers of class 10 and 12
Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik on Thursday felicitated a total of 67 students of 10th and 12th class, who performed well in their examinations and secured their names in the merit list.
Ludhiana, June 1, 2023: Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik on Thursday felicitated a total of 67 students of 10th and 12th class, who performed well in their examinations and secured their names in the merit list.
The toppers belong to various schools of Ludhiana affiliated to Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Presiding over the felicitation ceremony in Bachat Bhawan, DC said that the students had demonstrated their brilliance in academic examinations and had made the district proud by topping the merit list. She lauded the efforts of their teachers and parents.
Malik called the students to dream high and work hard to achieve them to get successful in their lives. She said that youths had a huge responsibility on their shoulders to make India a superpower in the world and they should remain focused on their goals. She said that the students must not get disheartened if they face any kind of failure as failures are pillars of success.
Malik also asked the students to follow the footsteps of the freedom fighters, martyrs who laid their lives while serving the country as they are the future of our nation. She said that India was the country with the highest population of youths in the world and they have to play a key role in further development of the country. She also stated that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was leaving no stone unturned to strengthen the entire education system for ensuring quality education to the students.
Malik expressed hope that these students will inspire other youth and will serve the society.
The students also talked about their areas of interest, strengths and difficulties besides their approach to crack the academic and competitive examinations.
Prominent among the present on the occasion included Assistant Commissioner Upinderjeet Kaur Brar, DEO secondary Harjeet Singh, school heads and teachers.
