DC felicities health team for vaccinating all 18 Plus residents in Bhikhi Village
Exhorts others to showcase the same spirit in war against Covid
Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Monday felicitated a health team for ensuring 100-percent vaccination of all above the age of 18 in Bhikhi village falling under Payal Sub-Division.
Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Amarjeet Singh Bains, SDMs Dr. Baljinder Singh Dhillon, Mankanwal Singh Chahal, the Deputy Commissioner handed over the cheque of Rs 1100 each to Auxiliary nurse midwife Kiran Rani, Asha workers Gagandeep Kaur and Mandeep Kaur whose hard work made Bhikhi village first in Ludhiana with 100% coverage of all 18+ persons in Covid vaccination drive.
Patting them and their Community health Officer Jaswinder Kaur for exemplary service to the society, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma called them unsung heroes in the battle against the deadly virus and said that the district administration would continue to felicitate such hard-working health warriors for ensuring speedy coverage of beneficiaries in the inoculation drive.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the health team exhibited exemplary courage and determination in the war by vaccinating all which would save precious lives.
Sharma said that the war against Corona is particularly important as the enemy is invisible and the virus can be combated effectively by providing a life-saving jab to every eligible beneficiary.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the indomitable spirit and fortitude displayed by the health team is an example for the others and now every team must make collective efforts to achieve a 100-percent vaccinated population in their areas.
