DC gives approval to 11 new industries under Right to Business Act
A district level committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney on Wednesday gave in-principle approval to 11 new business houses for setting their own manufacturing units in the district under the Punjab Right to Business Act.
Ludhiana, February 21, 2024: A district level committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney on Wednesday gave in-principle approval to 11 new business houses for setting their own manufacturing units in the district under the Punjab Right to Business Act.
The Deputy Commissioner accompanied by ADC Ojasvi Alankar, Assistant Commissioner Upinderjeet Kaur Brar, GM DIC Rakesh Kumar Kansal said that these 11 industrialists were applied through Business First Poral.
The Deputy Commissioner said that under this Act, all the NOCs related to setting up a new enterprise are to be completed within 15 days after applying. All the formalities and NOCs related to the new business would be awarded through this single medium in a record time, she added. She further mentioned that the applicant has to obtain requisite regular approvals from the concerned departments within a time period of three years, however, the applicant gets an in-principle approval certificate to start his business.
The DC said the Department of Industries and Commerce had taken this new initiative to promote the business in the state besides providing ease of doing business with the required approvals. She also mentioned that the advent of new industries would also open new vistas of employment for youths. Two more industrial units were also given incentives of EDC charges, stamp duty and etc.
General Manager Rakesh Kumar Kansal urged the industrialists to avail the benefits of ease of doing business initiatives for various regulatory clearances and fiscal incentives through the Business First portal of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Punjab.
