DC inspects full dress rehearsal of 76th state level Independence Day Function
CM Bhagwant Mann to hoist national flag on August 15
Ludhiana, August 13, 2022: Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik and Commissioner of Police Dr Kaustubh Sharma on Saturday participated in full dress rehearsal to mark state level 76th Independence Day celebrations in the local Guru Nanak Stadium.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will be chief guest of state level Independence Day event on August 15.
During the full dress rehearsal, the Deputy Commissioner hoisted the national flag and took a salute from the impressive march past led by parade commander ASP Maninder Singh IPS along with second parade commander DSP Murad Jasvir Singh Gill PPS.
Disclosing further details, Deputy Commissioner said that 960 students would participate in the splendid PT show during the celebrations of 76th Independence Day event at Guru Nanak Stadium on August 15 besides students from various government and private schools would perform cultural programs including Bhangra, Gidha on patriotic and choreography. She also gave necessary directions to the forces and officers regarding the fool-proof preparations for the mega event.
She said that the preparations for this mega event were going on in full swing and every effort was being made to make sure that auspicious day was celebrated with full patriotic and nationalistic fervor.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that the nodal officers were already assigned duties to ensure smooth holding of the event and any sort of callousness in this duty will not be tolerated.
Later, Surabhi Malik and Dr Kaustabh Sharma also held separate meetings with the officials.
On the occasion, Joint Commissioner of Police Dr Narinder Bhargav, ADCs Rahul Chaba, Amarjeet Bains, Anita Darshi, Land Acquisition Collector LIT Neeru Katyal Gupta and others were present.
