DC Ludhiana directs officials to ensure effectively implementation of Mission Tandrust Punjab
Orders them to send daily reports about activities carried out under Mission Tandrust Punjab
Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Varinder Kumar Sharma on Tuesday directed the officials of various departments to ensure effective implementation of Mission ‘Tandrust Punjab which is aimed to improve the state’s air, water quality, and safe food by working zealously.
Presiding over a meeting with the officials of various departments including health, agriculture, transport, horticulture, Public Works Department, Water supply and sanitation, Cooperative, Sports, forest and others, Sharma asked them to send the report about activities carried out by their departments under Tandrust Punjab Mission daily by evening to his office.
He told that the benefits of activities should reach the grass root level to make the mission a huge success in the district.
The deputy commissioner asked health department and Mandi Board to develop sources who can give tip-off about those who indulge in food adulteration and artificial ripening of the fruits which poses a serious danger to human health and raids must be carried out on a routine basis. He also directed agriculture department to intensify checking drives against fake pesticides and poor quality fertilizers.
He further told the transport department to ensure regular checking of vehicular pollution, pressure horns in buses. The Deputy Commissioner said that all the departments must work collectively to ensure the success of this program.
