DC Ludhiana directs officials to expedite process of issuing UDID, Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna Cards

Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ludhiana Varinder Kumar Sharma on Tuesday, directed the concerned officials to expedite the process of issuing the Unique Disability Identity (UDID) Card to Persons with disabilities (PwD) and Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna to the beneficiaries so that they can take maximum benefit out of the government schemes.
Deputy Commissioner accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC Development) Sandeep Kumar and Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Bagga was presiding over the monthly meeting at Bachat Bhawan here, to review the works executed by the various departments during the month.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also thanked the entire staff of the health department and private hospitals, who served the people with all their might during the Corona pandemic and asked to continue working with full zeal.
The Deputy Commissioner further said to encourage youth towards sports, sports kits would also be distributed to the youth clubs on January 7 and January 28, 2021. He also directed the Nehru Youth Kender to play a pro-active role and involve as many youth clubs as possible to motivate youth towards sports.
ADC Sandeep Kumar urged to the general public that if anybody found selling adulterated products like milk, curd, cheese, khoya etc in the Ludhiana district should register complaint to the District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Rajesh Garg via WhatsApp message or phone call on 98142-59627. He said that the name and address of the complainant will be kept confidential.
