DC Ludhiana launches coffee table book depicting spiritual journey of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib

Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Varinder Kumar Sharma today launched the Edition of Coffee Table Book titled, “Spiritual Journey of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib”, compiled by Lawyer and Author Harpreet Sandhu, prepared in Collaboration with Punjab Pollution Control Board  Chairman Prof S S Marwaha , dedicated to 400th Birth Anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.

Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana described the Coffee Table Book of immense importance as the book depicts the pious journey of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib”  from his Birth till Martyrdom through replete colourful visuals of Gurudwara Guru ka Mahal (Amritsar), Gurudwara Vayah Asthan (Kartarpur, District Jalandhar), Gurudwara Bhora Sahib (Baba Bakala) to Gurudwara(Takth Sri  Kesgarh Sahib , Sri Anandpur Sahib). 

Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana further stated that we are indeed fortunate that through his passion for photography and documentaries, Harpreet Sandhu has allowed the society to follow the steps of our enlightened Guru Ji.  Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Varinder Kumar Sharma applauded the sincere efforts of  Advocate Harpreet Sandhu who has  authored this coffee table book and has dedicated this pious work to the sacred memory of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, who left a deep imprint of his personality and trails in the annals of our history.

He congratulated all for the 400th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib and said that we all must make a resolution to follow the preaching and discourse of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji, who selflessly served the society and spread message of peace and universal brotherhood. 

Guru Ji taught us to fight and save rights of others. His philosophy, “ Give your head, but forsake not those whom you have undertaken to protect. Sacrifice your life, but relinquish not your faith” is most relevant these days. Deputy Commissioner after previewing the Coffee Table Book said that this pious work will be of immense interest, which has been beautifully portrayed through the pictorial visuals of the holy shrines, where Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib left his foot prints.
