DC orders comprehensive campaign to raise awareness under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative

Ludhiana, October 23, 2024: Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal on Wednesday issued directions for a special campaign to increase awareness in the district regarding the importance of improving the sex ratio.

Leading a meeting of the task force for the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ (BBBP) initiative at the District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner outlined the objectives of the campaign, emphasizing the district's commitment to educating the public on the significance of girls.

Jorwal also asked the task force to organize events at both the sub-divisional and district-wide levels to spread awareness at the community level. He also highlighted that the campaign will serve as a driving force to eliminate the obstacles hindering the progress of girls. He assured that the initiative would ensure girls have every chance to succeed in life.

Jorwal mentioned that the Beti Bachao movement has sparked a significant change in public perception, which will play a crucial role in overcoming the challenges faced by girls' development. He stated that India is on the right path towards empowering women through education.
