Manjeet Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur on Friday visits the Bhagat Singh Stadium.
Ferozepur, January 10, 2014: Manjeet Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur today visited the Bhagat Singh Stadium here to examine the construction and renovation work in process. He gave important instruction to the concerned officers and ordered to finish the renovation and construction before January 20.
Republic Day is celebrated at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium every year and the stadium gets a new lease of life after a modest denting and painting.
Sukhpal Singh Nannu, former chief parliamentary secretary, Sunil Sharma, District Sports Officer were also present on this occasion.
Meanwhile, both Narang and Nannu also participated in inauguration ceremony of a three day badminton championship organised by local Sutlej Club at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Indoor Badminton Stadium along with S P S Parmar, SSP (Vigilance) as Chief guests. Manjeet Singh Narang stated on this occasion that he is determined to provide a better infrastructure for sports to the endowed youth of the city.
