DC PAYS HOMAGE TO THE MARTYRS ON THE OCCASION OF “SHAHEEDI DIWAS”

Ferozepur, March 23, 2019: On the sacred occasion of “Shaheedi Diwas” Ferozepur Deputy Commissioner Chander Gaind accompanied the people to the Martyrs’Memorial in the special train. The DC not only travelled in the train but also interacted with the people and discussed about various problems including drug menace, about generating employment opportunities in this border district and about making this border district a clean and green district. During the way also listened to grievances of the people and directed the officials so that their problems could be solved in a time bound manner. After reaching Hussainiwala, The Deputy Commissioner reached martyrs’ memorial and paid floral tribute to the martyrs Bhagat Singh Rajguru and Sukhdev. On this occasion, Gaind said that he would take up the issue of starting the special train to Hussainiwala on every Sunday with Railway ministry so that the visitors could pay tribute to the martyrs easily. Earlier, BSF commandant Shiv Om, Amarjeet Singh and others welcomed the DC at the memorial.
