DC pays tributes to Kargil Martyrs on 25th anniversary of Vijay Diwas
Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney today remembered the Kargil martyrs on the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. She laid a wreath in memory of the martyrs to pay respect for the great sacrifice made by sons of the soil for their motherland at Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum.
Ludhiana, July 26, 2024:Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney today remembered the Kargil martyrs on the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. She laid a wreath in memory of the martyrs to pay respect for the great sacrifice made by sons of the soil for their motherland at Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum.
Sawhney recalled the exemplary courage of brave soldiers who safeguarded the country's borders and dislodged the intruders from the Indian soil despite the extremely tough conditions in the war.
The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized that every countryman will remain indebted to these martyrs for their supreme sacrifice. She pointed out that the society, administration, and nation will always be thankful to martyrs who served the country with patriotic fervor to defend its sovereignty. The sacrifice made by the martyrs will always act as a beacon to inspire the youth to follow their footsteps and serve the nation, added Sawhney.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner also visited various galleries in the museum.
