Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Monday pinned stars to one member of his security staff Amarjeet Singh, who has been recently promoted as Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI).
Pinning the badges to Amarjeet Singh, Sharma along with his wife Parveen Sharma, said that it was a red-letter day for Singh as he got a promotion after rendering meritorious services since September 4, 1991.
The Deputy Commissioner said it was a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that Singh has been promoted to a new post, which he described as a new beginning in his illustrious career.
He extended best wishes to the promoted employee and expressed hope that Singh would uphold the glorious tradition of the Punjab Police to serve the people zealously.
Sharma said he was hopeful that ASI Amarjeet Singh would perform his service diligently and dedicatedly and would carve a niche in the force by serving the society with full enthusiasm and devotion.
