Ludhiana, December 8, 2019: Pradeep Agrawal, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, on Sunday, flagged off marathon organised by Hampton Homes here today.
Deputy Commissioner even participated in this marathon. There were around 1,000 participants from all walks of life. They included leading industrialists, students, housewives, doctors, professional athletes of international repute and government officials other than public in large.
Marathon was flagged off by Pradeep Agrawal, Deputy Commissioner, at 7 a.m. Prominent among the participants included Kamal Oswal, Manisha Oswal, Sanjana Oswal, Rajesh Aggarwal, Sanjeev Arora, Kavya Arora, Ketki Arora, Shrey Gupta, Hemant Sood, Sonal Sood, Neeraj Satija, Dr.Ashish Ahuja, Ritu Auluck, Nomita Khanna and ACP Rajan Sharma.
Motto of marathon was “Fight for Fitness”, which was really liked by people. A pledge was taken by all participants that they will always remain fit and work for society in making people healthy in different ways.
First prize was bagged by Gursewak Singh from Faridkot who completed the run in 26.16 minutes and won cash prize of Rs.50,000, second by Udit Vaid from Rajpura who completed the run in 26.20 minutes and won cash prize of Rs.30,000 and third by Shamsher from Amritsar who completed the run in 29.30 minutes and won cash prize of Rs.10,000.
All arrangements were perfect and District Administration helped in making the event seamless. Rakesh Aggarwal, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, cooperated to the maximum possible and provided proper force for traffic and security. Management of Hampton Homes made sure that roads used were properly cleaned after the event. It was a nice gesture from management. Participants were also all enthusiastic on Hampton Homes Project which is luxury at affordable prices.
