Ludhiana, January 20 , 2025: Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal on Monday held a detailed review meeting at the sports stadium of Punjab Agricultural University to assess the preparations for the state Level Republic Day celebrations on January 26.  

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria will  unfurl national flag on Jan 26 here. 

First of the time in Ludhiana on Jan 26, the Indian Army will hold Weapon and Tanks Display near the ground besides Army Jawans will exhibit Kalaripayattu, an ancient martial art and 69 girl students of Army Public School will perform cultural items
As many as 20 tableaux by different departments will also showcase their programs and policies, during the Republic Day event. 

Around 2000 students of various schools will  participate in different cultural and PT show also. 

Emphasizing the significance of the event, Jorwal stated that being a state of Level Republic Day celebrations, the district administration will celebrate it with full patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. He mentioned that the district has a reputation for hosting the best Republic Day functions in the state each year, a tradition that will be upheld this year as well.  

During the meeting, Jorwal meticulously reviewed various arrangements to ensure the event completes smoothly. He stated that a full dress rehearsal will be held on January 23. Additionally, he directed that teams of doctors and paramedical staff be present at the venue, while municipal corporation officials would ensure cleanliness. Key issues discussed included traffic control, parking, availability of drinking water and refreshments, uninterrupted power supply, and suitable flag-hoisting arrangements. Other logistics covered in the meeting included the march past by security forces and performances by the police band.  

Furthermore, Jorwal also ordered the officials to ensure detailed arrangements for stage decoration, the deployment of health teams, transportation facilities for students, PT shows, and cultural performances by students. He emphasized the need for all concerned departments to exert sincere efforts to ensure that the Republic Day celebrations are exceptional.  

Jorwal urged officials to diligently perform their duties to carry out this grand event seamlessly, highlighting the importance of meticulous planning and execution.
