DC reviews progress of development projects

Ludhiana, August 24, 2024: Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney reviewed the progress of various development projects being carried out by several departments in the district on Friday.

Presiding over a meeting with heads of departments, the Deputy Commissioner comprehensively assessed the physical and financial status of the projects in different parts of the district. The officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the current situation, achievements of on-going projects, and new infrastructure developments such as roads, streets, libraries, Anganwari centers, pond renovations, stadium repairs, Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), installation of solar lights, open gyms, community halls, new drainage systems, and other infrastructure projects in city and villages. 

The DC urged officials to expedite the progress of on-going works to ensure timely completion and instructed them to utilize all available resources to minimize delays. She also emphasized the importance of better coordination between departments to resolve developmental challenges and encouraged stakeholders to conduct joint inspections of projects for real-time decision-making to ensure high-quality work.
